Kobold
In German folklore, a kobold is a type of spirit that dwells in a specific house, on boats or in caves. Although normally invisible, kobolds can take on very specific physical attributes when visible. When in homes they often appear as small children, on boats they are dressed as sailors and in caves and mines, they are usually gruesome and gnarled in appearance. Kobolds are attached to their specific place and will not move to another location as some other ethereal entities have been known to do.
