Ghost Source collects information from our users at several
different points on our website:

In order to receive news and updates from Ghost Source, users

events on our site for which they have expressed interest.
When joining the mailing list, we also collect optional demographic
information such as the user’s age, city, and state.
This demographic information is used to help us get a better
idea of who is using our web site so that we can make more
effective additions and improvement to our site. This demographic
information is strictly optional and is not required to join
our mailing list.
True Encounters Archive
When a user adds a story to our True Encounters Archive, we
ask identifying information such as their name, location,
entity type, and story. This information is made public when

We also collect the gender of those who are submitting the
stories and the users age at the time of the occurrence. This
information is specifically used by our database to structure
the grammar of the story. For example, if a user’s gender
is male, the database will use the pronoun "his" in
structuring its grammar. This information is not used for any
other purpose.

type, and story. This information is made public when a user

other purpose.
When submitting a story, we sometimes allow users to enter
their e-mail address. This is optional and will only be used
to enter the user in any contests that are currently being
held. Entering your e-mail address in the Original Stories
Collection will not subscribe you to our mailing list. Your
e-mail address will not be made public when a user accesses
